Community Partner Awards Presented at LHDC’s Annual Meeting
As part of its 44th Annual Meeting held recently, Lincoln Hills Development Corporation (LHDC) presented three Community Partner Awards to organizations and individuals in recognition of outstanding contributions of their time and talents to the programming and services provided by LHDC.
LHDC plans to present these Community Partner Awards annually to recognize supporters who go “above and beyond” in providing programming, services, goods, support, and other contributions that further the goals and mission of LHDC:
“ Lincoln Hills Development Corporation (LHDC), a locally governed Community Action Agency, engages in making life better by providing opportunities, which empower people to improve the quality of life and address the causes and effects of poverty in Southern Indiana ”.
Honorees this year were:
• Perry County Memorial Hospital – for the collaboration and support of programming provided through LHDC’s Youth Service Bureau division, particularly through its Safe Sitter, and Creating Positive Relationships (CPR), programs and the Smoke Free Perry County Initiative.
• Dr. Timothy Masden, Insight Eyecare Associates – located in new Salisbury , IN , Dr. Masden and his staff have been long-time supporters of LHDC’s Head Start program, providing services, expertise and consultation that has benefited hundreds of preschool children and their families.
• Perry County Indiana Habitat For Humanity – for their promotion and dedication, in partnership with LHDC, of safe, decent and affordable housing, and homeownership opportunities, in Perry County since the formation of the local Habitat chapter in 1996.
LHDC salutes each of these Community Partners for their commitment to improving the quality of life in our communities.
