Back to School is a great time for parents to review healthcare coverage for their children and family. Students may need glasses, immunizations or a physical to play sports and parents may discover their coverage has lapsed or that they may qualify for the first time. Covering Kids & Families of Lincoln Hills Development Corporation, a local program that helps Hoosiers sign up for and understand healthcare coverage programs, knows that healthcare coverage – insurance – can be confusing for parents. We want all Hoosiers to know help is available.
Covering Kids & Families wants Hoosiers to know:
Medicaid, Hoosier Healthwise, Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP), and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) have year around open enrollment.
The Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) offers coverage for children up to 250% of Federal Poverty Level – up to $65,900 for a family of four.
If you don’t have healthcare coverage or have questions about coverage, free unbiased help is available from Covering Kids & Families of Indiana and other community organizations.
