Child Welfare ServicesThe Child Welfare Services programs assists only families who are referred by Case Managers of the participating county Offices of Family and Children. Families referred have either had a child removed from their home, or are in danger of having a child removed, due to a suspected or substantiated occurrence of abuse or neglect. The ultimate goal of services provided through this program is to keep families at risk of being separated intact, and to reunite families who have been separated. Services are provided in Crawford, Gibson, Harrison, Perry, Posey, Spencer and Vanderburgh Counties. Due to the nature of this program, referrals come only from the participating county Offices of Family and Children; walk-ins and other agency referrals are not accepted.
