Lincoln Hills Development Corporation (LHDC) Executive Director/CEO, Randy Dennison, announced during its recent 54th Annual Meeting that the City of Cannelton was named the agency’s recipient of its 2019 LHDC Community Partner award. The award was presented to the Mayor, Clerk-Treasurer, and City Council members during their City Council meeting on Monday, May 13, 2019.
In announcing the award recipient, Dennison stated, “Our agency has enjoyed the support of and longtime partnership with the City of Cannelton and its leaders over many years, and we felt that now is the perfect time to recognize them in a public way. Our collaboration with Cannelton on programming to improve the quality of life goes back decades. And we just wrapped up work in late-2018 administering Cannelton’s most recent Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Program grant, and the support of the Mayor, Clerk-Treasurer, and City Council could not have been stronger. And of course, the City was an instrumental partner back in the late-1990’s and early-2000’s in LHDC’s successful efforts to preserve the iconic Indiana Cotton Mill and convert it into 70 units of safe, comfortable and affordable housing. We salute Mayor Mary Snyder, and Cannelton’s past and present leaders, for their strong support and partnership.”
