Lincoln Hills Development Corporation (LHDC) has obtained funding through Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority (IHCDA) from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act). The CARES Act was passed to assist businesses as well as individuals and families in need during the COVID-19 crisis. LHDC can help with rent and mortgage payments, utility assistance, which includes utilities such as electric, gas, water, sewage, internet, or phone, as well as food voucher assistance through this CARES Act funding in Crawford, Perry, and Spencer counties.
To qualify for assistance through this program, families or individuals must be impacted by COVID-19 and meet the income guidelines of being at or below 200% Federal Poverty Level. If an individual or family meets the criteria for assistance, they must talk with an LHDC Resource Coordinator in their county to complete the necessary screening process and paperwork. The Resource Coordinators can also share information on other resources or programs that may be of assistance in each county.
Perry County Resource Coordinators can be reached at 1-800-467-1435 ext. 246 or ext. 255. Spencer County Resource Coordinators can be reached at 1-800-467-1435 ext. 440 or ext. 253. Crawford County Resource Coordinators can be reached at 1-800-467-1435 ext. 348 or ext. 554. Contact your local county Resource Coordinator today for more information or to see if you may qualify.
