On March 6, 2020, Gary V. Zellers, the Lincoln Hills Development Corporation’s (LHDC) Chief Operating Officer, retired after a distinguished, forty-one-year career at LHDC.
During its February meeting, the Board of Directors unanimously adopted a Resolution of Honor and Appreciation recognizing Zellers’ many years of dedicated service to the agency and the community. The Resolution acknowledged his determined efforts to end the cycle of poverty in southern Indiana and his work to mentor countless LHDC employees. LHDC’s Board also renamed the agency’s South Perry County Head Start Center to honor Zellers. The Center will now be known as the “Lincoln Hills Development Corporation – Gary V. Zellers Head Start Center.”
“It would be impossible to measure or quantify the good Gary did during his remarkable career at Lincoln Hills. The enthusiasm, compassion, loyalty, and kindness he demonstrated are unrivaled, and everyone affiliated with Lincoln Hills will miss him,” said Randy Dennison, LHDC Executive Director/CEO. “We sincerely appreciate Gary’s service, congratulate him on his many accomplishments, and wish him a happy retirement that lasts at least as long as his career at LHDC.”
