Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program

The Senior Farmer’s Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) is available in Crawford County and Perry County under the sponsorship of Lincoln Hills Development Corporation through the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP).  The program will provide voucher checks from the Indiana Department of Health to income eligible senior households in Crawford County and Perry County.  The program encourages income eligible senior citizens to purchase nutritious, locally grown produce which helps support our community’s farmers.  To be eligible for the program, participants must meet the income guidelines as outlined below and be a resident of either Crawford County or Perry County.  Participants must also be at least 60 years of age or be a disabled person living in housing for the elderly served by a congregate meal service.  Each eligible individual will receive a check booklet worth $20 that may be used through October 20, 2018.  All applicants must provide their driver’s license or State I.D., name, date of birth, social security numbers, and income for all members of the household and have a household income of less than 185% of the Federal Poverty Income Guidelines.  Eligible participants’ household income may not be more than what is indicated in the table.
