Community Health Fair
Perry County Council on Aging hosted a Senior Health and Resource Fair at The Depot on February 18, 2020. Healthcare Navigator, Rachel Schaefer, with Lincoln Hills Development Corporation – Covering Kids and Families Program, along with Amanda McDaniel, Resource Coordinator Supervisor and Kathleen Ferguson RSVP Manager, provided information regarding LHDC services as well as a gift basket for giveaway.
This free, public event brought together numerous community organizations to provide resource information for seniors in the community. Several providers offered free health screenings, live presentations, resource information, and drawings for gift baskets. The Aloha Express food truck attended and provided 20% of their sales back to Perry County Council on Aging. Over 20 vendors attended this event with around 80 attendees.
Lincoln Hills Development Corporation (LHDC), a locally governed Community Action Agency, engages in making life better by providing opportunities to empower people to improve the quality of life and address the causes and effects of poverty in Southern Indiana.
