SOUTH PERRY HEAD START CLASSROOM 3 – CHILDREN LEARN ABOUT FIRE SAFETY

November 15th, 2018

The LHDC South Perry Head Start Classroom 3 celebrated Fire Safety Awareness Month by increasing cognitive development in the classroom and inviting our local Tell City Fire Department to come and visit us.   The Tell City firefighters taught the preschool children about personal fire safety and “Stop, Drop, and Roll”.  The firefighters also shared with the children information about their work as a firefighter in our community.

In the Head Start preschool classroom, the dramatic play area this month included fire safety items, as well as intentional teaching to help the children understand and know what to do in real life situations.

LHDC South Perry Head Start wants to thank the Tell City Fire Department for your commitment to our children and community.
