Ways to Help:

Lincoln Hills Development Corporation (LHDC), a locally governed Community Action Agency, engages in making life better by providing opportunities to empower people to improve the quality of life and address the causes and effects of poverty in Southern Indiana.

If you are passionate about economic and social justice for all and would like to contribute to our organization, there are several opportunities listed below. We hope you will join our efforts to change people's lives and improve communities in order to benefit the programs and services provided by LHDC in twelve southern Indiana counties.

How would your donation, contribution, and/or involvement benefit the community? Here is a message from our CEO and Executive Director,
Randy Dennison, which will help answer that question.
Helping People…Changing Lives: that’s the perfect way to describe Lincoln Hills Development Corporation’s (LHDC) work in our community for the last 56 years…and it provides a clear road map for our work in the future.  It explains why we provide Head Start and Early Head Start services; why we own/manage almost 600 quality, affordable apartments across southern Indiana; why we help local residents make their homes more energy-efficient; why we provide assistance with utility bills; why we link senior citizens and retired individuals with volunteer opportunities throughout the community; why we offer health insurance navigation services; why we help individuals realize their dream of owning a home; and, why we work so closely with you to build strong families, promote positive child development, and prevent the abuse and neglect of children.

I hope you’ll join our efforts to change people’s lives and improve communities in order to benefit the programs and services provided by Lincoln Hills Development Corporation in twelve southern Indiana counties.

Peace, health and happiness,

Gift In-Kind

An in-kind donation to Lincoln Hills Development Corporation is a gift of goods and services that LHDC would have to otherwise buy if they hadn’t been donated. Examples include books for the Head Start library, crafting supplies for our Senior Programs, or baby care items for our Early Head Start program.

Certain needs change from time to time for our various programs. Current needs are:
  • New/unopened packages of infant diapers
  • New school supplies for Head Start

The value of the donated supplies or services may be recorded as the amount that LHDC would have to pay for similar items.  Donors of in-kind gifts cannot take a deduction for the time that they donated as a part of an in-kind gift. Only the actual out-of-pocket expenses for which a donor has receipts can be treated as a tax-deductible, charitable gift.  As with any gift or donation to LHDC, an in-kind donation is very much appreciated.

In-kind donations can be delivered during business hours at:
