The Community Foundation of Crawford County recently granted Lincoln Hills Development Corporation $500.00 to help provide emergency preparedness kits to local elderly residents and preschool children. The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) will be kicking off the community project later this year.
“LHDC is grateful for the assistance and our partnership with the Community Foundation of Crawford County,” said Shannon Sprinkle, LHDC Chief Resources Officer. The RSVP has 92 volunteers throughout Crawford, Perry, and Spencer Counties. The program is recruiting new volunteers to participate in volunteer opportunities such as the Food Fighter Project, Caring Companions, Bulk Mail Team, vision screenings for local preschool children, or various other possibilities.
